ZAP MACHINE / iOS
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how personal data is handled in the Zap Machine iOS app and when you contact its developer. Imported videos, audio files and projects are processed locally on your device. They are not sent to a server operated by the developer.

2. Local media and project data
Zap Machine processes the videos and audio files you import, recordings you create and projects you save on your device. This processing is used to create, edit, play and export your music and videos.
The app does not upload these contents to the developer or to a dedicated app backend. The developer cannot view or remotely delete your local media and projects.
3. Photos and microphone
- Photos: access is used for the media you select and for relevant import or export functions.
- Microphone: access is used when you choose a function that records audio.
Access is requested only for the relevant function and is controlled through iOS. You can refuse access or change permissions in the iOS settings at any time. Functions that require the refused permission will then be unavailable or limited.
4. In-app purchases and Apple
Pro purchases are handled through Apple’s StoreKit and the App Store. Purchase status is used to make the purchased features available. Payments are processed by Apple; you do not provide payment-card details to the developer through Zap Machine.
Apple processes account, payment and transaction information under its own responsibility. Its processing and retention rules are described in App Store & Privacy and Apple’s Privacy Policy. Deleting Zap Machine does not delete Apple’s purchase records.
5. Tracking and analytics
Zap Machine has no integrated tracking, analytics or crash-reporting services. It does not send usage or advertising profiles to the developer.
Apple’s operating-system and App Store services are separate from the app. Any data processing by those services is governed by Apple’s privacy information and your Apple settings.
6. Storage and deletion
- Projects: you can delete individual saved projects directly in Zap Machine.
- Local app data: deleting the app from your device removes its local app data. Merely offloading the app or removing it from the Home Screen does not have the same effect.
- Original and exported files: files stored outside the app, for example in Photos or Files, must be deleted separately if you also want to remove them.
- Backups: depending on your device and backup settings, copies may remain in an iCloud or computer backup. Manage or delete these separately through the corresponding backup service.
Local projects remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. The developer does not keep a server-side copy of these contents.
7. Contact and support
If you email kontakt@liib.studio, the developer receives your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. These are used to answer your request and provide support. Email service providers process the messages for delivery and storage.
Correspondence is retained only as long as it is needed to resolve the request or to meet applicable legal retention obligations, and is then deleted. Sending media or project files to support is voluntary; only send what is needed for your request.
8. Legal bases
Where personal data is processed by the developer, the GDPR bases are: Article 6(1)(b) for contractual app services and related support; Article 6(1)(f) for other enquiries, with the legitimate interest of answering them; Article 6(1)(c) for statutory retention; and Article 6(1)(a) where processing relies on consent.
9. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation, and withdraw consent prospectively. Contact the controller above.
You may also complain to a supervisory authority, including LDI Nordrhein-Westfalen. For data processed independently by Apple, contact Apple directly.
10. Changes
This policy will be updated when the app’s functions or data practices change. The date at the top identifies the current text.
